St George’s Barracks – Time for Action

St George’s Barracks – Time for Action

RCC will shortly be making major decisions about the St George's Barracks development. On 26th November 2018 they will consider an application for Housing Infrastructure Funds that will be used to pay for some of the infrastructure developments needed, if they are to build a new town in the heart of the County. Once this bid is submitted, the process will be underway and will develop a momentum that... Read More »

Village Response to Local Plan Consultation

Village Response to Local Plan Consultation

It has taken a considerable effort to research, prepare and write responses to the RCC Local Plan Consultation on a very inappropriate deadline. Almost without exception the entire village has responded in huge detail to the outline plan from RCC. It took a long time to complete forms and I for one found it very challenging to complete in 'plannerish'

On behalf of the Parish Council I would like to... Read More »

Service Accommodation to be Rented

Service Accommodation to be Rented

Just to add to the mix of stress, our favourite MOD through its contractors Orchard and Shipman (read the one star reviews) are to rent out a number of houses in our village. Please take a close look at the attached letter as whilst it appears to be positive (saving money, necessary action yada yada..) it will upset our servicemen and women and shift the mix of people that live in and enjoy our village....
