Stands in a Role 2 Medical Facility
This is a holding page. Once we have a contact from this group of people we will hope to find someone that would like to add information that will assist the newcomers to our village thereby allowing them to settle in faster.
In the meantime here are some links to something that will tell a small part of the story
2 Medical Regiment is part of the 1UK (United Kingdom) Division's Adaptable Force Medical Group; we focus on patient centred excellence in the pre-hospital environment. Adapting to the changing Army 2020 structures, on 1 July 2014 we became a hybrid Medical Regiment consisting of Regular and Reserve personnel. The Regular elements (including 29 Medical Squadron) are located in the County of Rutland with the two Reserve Medical Squadrons (222 and 250 Medical Squadrons) routinely attending Army Reserve Centres located in Leicester, Derby, Birmingham, Hull and Grimsby.
As part of the Army's Medical Services we provide deployed medical, dental and nursing support to the force in the pre-hospital care setting; delivering emergency, community and primary care. The Royal Army Medical Corps; Royal Army Dental Corps and Queen Alexandra's Royal Army Nursing Corps are supported by emergency response drivers, communications specialists and chefs from the Royal Logistic Corps. The Headquarters of the Army's Medical Services is in the grounds of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
2 Medical Regiment are part of 102 Logistic Brigade; has recent operational experience from Afghanistan and now trains extensively in Kenya and around the world to support training and operational commitments as part of the Adaptable Force. We are committed to patient centred excellence.
